(서울=연합뉴스) 한상용 기자 = 배우자와 함께 주택 3채를 보유해 논란이 일었던 강경화 외교부 장관이 최근 한 채를 처분했다.

23일 강 장관의 배우자가 보유했던 종로구 운니동 한 오피스텔의 등기부 등본 확인 결과, 강 장관 배우자는 지난 16일 해당 오피스텔 지분(8분의 1)을 975만원에 박모 씨에게 매매했다.

강 장관의 배우자는 지난 2007년 다른 7명과 함께 해당 오피스텔을 매입했으며, 이번에 지분을 넘긴 박모 씨도 이들 중 한 명이다.

강 장관은 2017년 인사청문회 당시 이 오피스텔에 대해 배우자가 친구들과 함께 모일 장소를 마련한 것으로 안다는 취지로 설명한 바 있다.

이로써 강 장관 부부가 소유한 주택은 2채로 줄게 됐다.

강 장관이 소유하고 있는 관악구 봉천동 다세대주택에는 모친이 거주하고, 배우자 명의의 서대문구 연희동 단독주택에도 가족들이 사는 것으로 알려졌다.

이번 지분 매각은 일부 청와대 참모와 고위공직자들의 다주택 보유에 따른 논란이 제기되는 와중에 이뤄졌다.
