연극계 의견 모아 14개 사업 추진…사회적 담론과 해결 방안 모색

(서울=연합뉴스) 김준억 기자 = 연극계 다양한 계층의 목소리가 담긴 '2020 연극의 해' 사업이 본격적으로 추진된다.

2020 연극의 해 집행위원회는 20일 서울 용산구 국립극단 백성희장민호극장에서 기자간담회를 열고 '안전한 창작환경, 지속가능한 생태계 조성, 관객 소통의 다변화'라는 3가지 목표에 따른 14가지 사업들을 추진하겠다고 밝혔다.

침체한 연극을 부흥하기 위한 2020 연극의 해 사업을 추진할 집행위원회는 지난 3월 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 사태를 고려해 단순 행사나 축제 방식은 지양하기로 결정한 바 있다.

집행위는 우선 '안전한 창작환경'을 목표로 '연극인공감 120'을 설립하기로 했다. 이는 일종의 콜센터 형식으로 현실적인 복지증진과 연극인들이 직면한 문제들에 대해 고민을 들어 주고 환경을 개선하기 위한 플랫폼이다.

또한, 전국 연극창작환경 실태조사와 공연예술인들의 예술노동에 대한 '공정보상' 체계를 위한 기초연구가 추진된다.

연극계의 '미투'(Me Too) 이후 차별과 폭력 없는 안전한 창작환경에 대한 요구가 높아지고 위계적인 문화를 개선하는 자정이 필요하다는 공감대가 형성됨에 따라 '한국공연예술자치규약' 전국 워크숍도 이뤄진다.

'지속가능한 생태계 조성'이라는 목표를 위해 전국 청년 연극인 네트워크 구축과 전국 연극인 젠더 감수성 워크숍 등 사회적 담론을 다루는 사업이 진행된다.

'극장은 누구에게나 열려있는가'란 화두를 놓고서는 장애인을 위한 접근성 개선을 논의하는 워크숍들을 개최한다.

연극계의 불규칙한 구인·구직 상황을 개선하기 위한 플랫폼인 '연극인 일자리 매칭 앱' 사업도 진행된다.

아울러 '2020 연극의 해'는 포스트 코로나를 대비해 연극을 대면과 비대면으로 만날 수 있는 사업을 양방향으로 준비한다.

'언도큐멘타'는 극장과 인터넷 스트리밍으로 관객들을 만난다. 이 사업은 연극계 역사 전체를 재조명하며 연극 역사에 기록되지 않은 작품들에서 발췌된 장면들로 구성된 갈라 작품 공연이다. 1920년부터 현재까지 한국연극 역사 안에서 배제됐던 사각지대를 통해 연극의 역사를 재방문하고, 연극의 역사화 과정을 비판적으로 검토한다. 10월 마지막 주 아르코예술극장 대극장에서 3일간 공연된다.

대면으로만 관객을 만나는 사업으로는 '즐거운 거리두기 : 어린이 청소년(가족) 대상 공연' 프로그램이 진행된다. 온 가족이 편히 즐길 수 있도록 공연의 안정적 운영과 야외 및 대안 공간을 활용한 새로운 형태의 공연장을 운영한다.

지난해 4월 문화체육관광부에서 지정한 '2020 연극의 해'는 국가가 특정 분야의 장단기 발전계획에 1년 동안 집중적으로 지원하는 것으로 1991년 '연극, 영화의 해' 이후 29년 만에 지정됐다. ​
