(서울=연합뉴스) 박재현 기자 = 박근혜 정부의 '국정농단' 사건으로 징역 18년형을 확정받은 최서원(개명 전 최순실)씨가 납부기한까지 200억원의 벌금을 내지 않은 것으로 확인됐다. 검찰은 강제 집행 절차에 착수할 예정이다.

14일 법조계에 따르면 서울중앙지검 집행 2과는 조만간 최씨의 부동산과 예금 등을 대상으로 강제 집행에 나설 방침이다.

최씨는 지난달 대법원에서 직권남용권리행사방해, 뇌물 등 혐의로 징역 18년에 벌금 200억원, 추징금 63억여원을 확정받았다.

검찰은 대법원판결 직후 법원이 보유한 최씨의 공탁금 78억여원 중 추징금인 63억원가량에 대한 출급을 청구해 추징을 마무리했다.

또한 2차에 걸쳐 최씨에게 벌금 200억원을 납부하라는 명령서를 발송했다. 최종 납부기일은 이날이지만, 최씨는 벌금을 내지 않은 것으로 확인됐다.

검찰은 절차대로 최씨 소유의 부동산 등 재산에 대한 강제집행을 진행할 예정이다. 이를 통해서도 벌금 회수가 되지 않으면 최씨는 18년의 징역형 외에 추가로 최대 3년간 노역장에 유치될 수 있다.

앞서 박영수 특별검사팀은 수사를 통해 최 씨 일가의 재산이 2천730억 원에 달하는 것으로 파악했다. 안민석 더불어민주당 의원은 해외에 은닉한 최씨의 재산이 수조 원에 이른다는 의혹을 제기하기도 했다.
