기아차 2분기 영업이익 1천451억원으로 73% 감소(종합2보)

국내외 판매 28%↓…국내 27% 늘고 해외 40% 줄어

신차효과 있었지만 해외공장 닫은 탓에 고정비 많이 나가

(서울=연합뉴스) 최윤정 기자 = 기아자동차[000270]도 2분기 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 충격에도 불구하고 쏘렌토와 K5 등 신차 효과에 힘입어 이익을 냈다.

기아차는 2분기 영업이익이 1천451억원으로 작년 동기보다 72.8% 감소했다고 밝혔다.

이익이 큰 폭으로 줄긴 했지만 현대차[005380]와 마찬가지로 예상보다는 좋다. 연합인포맥스가 집계한 시장 전망치 210억원을 591.3% 상회한다.

순이익은 1천263억원으로 75.0%, 매출액은 11조3천688억원으로 21.6% 각각 줄었다.

국내외 판매는 51만6천50대로 27.8% 감소했다.

국내서는 신차 효과와 개소세 인하 영향으로 26.8% 늘면서 역대 최다 판매를 기록했다.

반면 해외에서 39.7% 줄었다. 북미 -40.3%, 유럽 -50.6%, 기타시장 -46.0%로 모두 마이너스였고 중국은 +5.3%다.

신형 쏘렌토 판매 호조 등으로 레저용차량(RV) 비중이 53.7%로 역대 최고 수준으로 올라가면서 수익성에 기여했다.

그러나 고정비 부담 확대로 인해 판매와 매출액에 비해 이익 감소폭이 컸다.

코로나19로 해외 공장이 문을 닫거나 가동률이 내려갔지만 비용은 계속 나간 탓이다.

상반기 실적은 매출액이 작년 동기 대비 3.8% 감소한 25조 9천357억원이고 영업이익은 47.7% 줄어든 5천896억원이다.

기아차는 "코로나19로 수요가 위축됐지만 고수익 신차와 RV 판매 비중 확대와 고정비 축소 노력, 우호적 환율 영향으로 충격이 일부 상쇄됐다"고 설명했다.

기아차 재경본부장 주우정 전무는 콘퍼런스콜에서 "하반기에도 수요가 10% 이상 줄겠지만 사업계획은 전년도 수준은 될 것으로 보고 세웠다"며 "7월들어 긍정적인 신호도 보인다"고 말했다.

기아차는 "하반기에는 신형 카니발 국내 출시, 신형 K5와 쏘렌토 등 해외 출시, 북미 지역 텔루라이드 증산 등으로 수익성 확보에 최선을 다할 것"이라고 말했다 .

기아차는 8월 출시할 카니발 국내 판매 목표를 연 6만대로 잡았다. 텔루라이드는 이달부터 연 10만대 생산 체계를 구축해서 하반기에 4만9천대를 생산할 계획이다. 9월 중국에 내놓는 K5는 연 6만대 판매 목표다.

기아차는 "비용 절감과 온라인 판촉활동으로 코로나19 확산에 대응하고, 전기차 전환과 자율주행· 커넥티비티 기술을 바탕으로 한 모빌리티 서비스 개발 등과 같이 미래 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 투자와 노력을 지속하겠다"고 말했다.
