한국 코로나19 해외유입 주요 진원지 중앙아서 재확산 '심각'

카자흐, 우즈벡, 키르기스 등서 대규모 신규 확진 지속

(모스크바=연합뉴스) 유철종 특파원 = 한국의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 해외유입 주요 진원지가 되고 있는 중앙아시아 국가들의 전염병 재확산 상황이 여전히 심각한 것으로 알려졌다.

카자흐스탄, 우즈베키스탄, 키르기스스탄 등의 중앙아 국가들은 한때 코로나19 확진자가 줄어들자 성급하게 방역 제한조치들을 풀었다가 심각한 재확산 위기를 맞고 있다.

실시간 통계사이트 월드오미터에 따르면 중앙아 국가들 가운데 가장 상황이 어려운 카자흐스탄에선 16일(현지시간)에도 하루 1천674명의 신규 확진자가 추가돼 누적 확진자가 6만5천188명으로 늘어났다. 이 가운데 375명이 사망했다.

카자흐스탄 보건부는 이날 코로나19 확산 이후 지금까지 51명의 의료진이 사망했다고 밝혔다. 열악한 환경에서 환자 치료에 매달리는 의료진이 대거 숨진 것이다.

지난 14일엔 바키트 쿠르만바예프 카자흐스탄 국방차관이 50세의 나이에 코로나19로 사망했다.

코로나19가 본격적으로 확산하던 지난 3월 16일 국가비상사태를 선포하며 강력한 봉쇄조치를 취했던 카자흐스탄 정부는 발병률이 떨어진 지난 5월 11일 비상사태를 해제하고 각종 제한조치를 대폭 완화했다.

하지만 이후 코로나19 확진자가 7배나 늘어나는 등 재확산이 심각해지자 지난 5일부터 2주간 제한조치를 재도입했고, 이후 다시 이달 말까지 한 번 더 연장했다.

지역 간 버스 운행을 중단하는 한편 도시 내 대중교통 운행도 제한했다. 가족 행사와 추모 행사 등을 포함한 모든 대중 행사를 금지하고 길거리·공원 등에서 3인 이상이 무리를 지어 이동하는 것도 불허했다.

미·이용실, 스포츠센터, 헬스클럽, 수영장, 해수욕장, 박물관, 오락실, 유치원, 영화관, 종교시설 등도 모두 폐쇄됐다.

다른 중앙아 국가 우즈베키스탄 상황도 심각하기는 마찬가지다.

이날 우즈베키스탄에선 410명의 신규확진자가 발생해 누적 확진자가 1만4천991명으로 증가했다. 누적 사망자는 73명이다.

지난 14일엔 689명의 감염자가 추가돼 일일 신규 확진 최고 기록을 세웠다고 리아노보스티 통신이 전했다.

하루 수백명의 신규 확진자가 계속해 쏟아지자 한동안 방역 제한조치를 완화했던 우즈베키스탄 정부도 지난 10일부터 다음 달 1일까지 시한으로 규제 재강화 조처를 했다.

개인차량 운행 시간을 제한하고, 도심 및 지역 간 차량 이동을 금지하는 한편 식당과 카페, 비식료품 상점, 미·미용실, 헬스클럽, 수영장 등의 영업을 금지했다.

65세 이상 고령자는 자가격리토록 하고, 주말엔 모든 주민이 자가격리를 지키도록 했다.

또 다른 중앙아 국가 키르기스스탄에서도 지난달 초부터 제한조치를 완화한 이후 확진자가 급증하고 있다.

6월 초·중순 하루 20~30명에 불과했던 신규 확진자 수가 같은 달 16일 100명으로 늘어나 세 자릿수 대에 진입한 데 이어 지금까지 지속적 증가세를 보이고 있다.

이날도 521명의 신규확진자가 나와 누적 확진자가 1만2천498명으로 불어났다. 누적 사망자는 167명이다.

한국 방역 당국은 카자흐스탄, 우즈베키스탄, 키르기스스탄 등을 '방역강화 대상국'으로 지정하고 이 국가들에서 입국하는 외국인에 대해 유전자 증폭검사(PCR 검사) '음성 확인서'를 의무적으로 제출하도록 하는 등 입국 관리를 강화한 것으로 전해졌다.
