논산서 코로나19 확진 70대 숨져…당뇨·고혈압 기저질환 앓아(종합)

(홍성=연합뉴스) 양영석 기자 = 충남에서 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 확진 판정을 받고 치료를 받던 70대 여성이 숨졌다. 충남지역 코로나19 확진자 중 첫 번째 사망자다.

충남도는 천안 순천향대병원에서 코로나19 치료를 받던 A씨(75·여)가 26일 새벽에 숨졌다고 밝혔다.

보건당국은 "사인은 코로나바이러스로 인한 폐렴"이라며 "A씨의 기저질환이 영향을 미쳤을 것이라는 의료진 의견이 있었다"고 말했다.

논산지역 세 번째 확진자인 A씨는 지난달 19일 코로나19에 감염돼 입원했다.

당시 별다른 증상은 없었지만, 검사 결과 양성으로 나왔다.

역학조사 결과 A씨는 확진 통보를 받기 10일 앞서 집단 감염이 발생한 대전 방문판매업체를 방문했다가 대전지역 확진자와 접촉한 것으로 확인됐다.

A씨는 고혈압, 당뇨 등의 기저질환을 앓고 있었다고 보건 당국은 설명했다.

입원 후 한달여 동안 치료를 받아왔던 A씨는 지난 22일 저녁부터 상태가 악화해 인공호흡기를 착용했다.

지금까지 충남에는 187명이 코로나19에 감염됐고, 이 가운데 182명은 완치돼 퇴원했다.

이날 첫 사망자가 나왔으며, 현재 4명의 확진자가 치료를 받고 있다.

치료 중인 4명 가운데 논산 80대 여성 1명을 제외한 3명은 모두 외국인이다.
