러시아 코로나19 신규확진 두달여만에 5천명대로 감소

4월 29일 이후 처음…누적 77만7천여명

(모스크바=연합뉴스) 유철종 특파원 = 러시아의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 하루 신규 확진자가 지난 4월 말 이후 처음으로 6천명 이하로 떨어진 것으로 20일(현지시간) 파악됐다.

하지만 누적 확진자는 77만명을 넘어 여전히 세계 4위 규모를 유지하고 있다.

러시아 정부의 코로나19 유입·확산방지 대책본부는 이날 "지난 하루 동안 모스크바를 포함한 전국 85개 지역에서 5천940명이 새로 감염돼 누적 확진자가 77만7천486명으로 늘었다"고 밝혔다.

신규 확진자는 지난 4월 29일 5천841명을 기록한 뒤 급증하기 시작해 5월 초순에는 한때 1만1천명을 넘어 정점을 찍었다.

그러다 이후 점진적 하락세로 돌아서 지난달 26일 6천명대(6천800명)로 내려왔으나 전날까지 24일 동안 비슷한 수준을 유지하며 좀처럼 6천명 선 이하론 내려오지 않았었다.

이날 수도 모스크바에서는 578명의 신규 확진자가 나와 누적 확진자가 23만4천123명으로 집계됐다.

전국의 코로나19 사망자는 하루 동안 85명이 늘어 모두 1만2천427명으로 증가했다.

대책본부에 따르면 지난 하루 동안 3천258명이 퇴원하면서 지금까지 모두 55만3천602명이 완치됐다. 완치율은 71%를 넘었다.

진단검사는 하루 30만건 정도를 꾸준히 시행해 오면서 지금까지 누적 건수가 2천520만 건을 넘겼다.

하지만 코로나19 대규모 확산 상황이 여전한 가운데 각 지역 정부가 방역 제한조치를 단계적으로 해제해 나가고 있어 재확산 우려도 남아있다.

러시아 정부는 지난 3월 말부터 3개월 이상 중단했던 국제선 정기 항공편 운항 재개도 논의 중인 것으로 알려졌다.

한편 모스크바의 스콜코보과학연구센터는 이날 자국 내 코로나19 바이러스 유전자 연구 결과 러시아의 코로나19는 중국이 아닌 유럽에서 주로 전파된 것으로 확인됐다고 밝혔다.

센터는 지난 2~3월에 걸쳐 서로 다른 유럽 내 67개 진원지에서 러시아로 코로나19 바이러스가 유입됐다면서 현재 최소 9개 종의 바이러스가 러시아 내에서 전파되고 있다고 소개했다.
