인도 코로나19 하루 확진 3일 연속 3만명대…누적 103만명

신규 사망자도 3일 연속 600명대

(뉴델리=연합뉴스) 김영현 특파원 = 인도의 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 하루 신규 확진자 수가 사흘 연속으로 3만명대를 기록했다.

인도 보건·가족복지부는 18일 인도의 코로나19 누적 확진자 수가 103만8천716명을 기록, 전날보다 3만4천884명 늘었다고 밝혔다.

이날 신규 확진자 수는 전날 작성된 최다 기록 3만4천956명을 넘어서지는 않았다. 하지만 지난 16일 이후 3일 연속으로 3만명대를 기록하는 등 확산세는 계속됐다.

이날 누적 사망자 수는 2만6천273명으로 전날보다 671명 증가했다. 이달 들어 400∼500명대를 오갔던 하루 신규 사망자 수도 사흘 연속으로 600명을 넘어섰다.

인도는 지난 5월 중순부터 코로나19 확산 억제 관련 봉쇄 조치를 풀면서 확진자가 급증했다.

확진자가 폭증하던 뉴델리, 뭄바이 등의 증가세는 다소 완화됐지만, 이제는 벵갈루루, 푸네, 하이데라바드 등 다른 대도시에서 확산세가 가팔라지고 있다.

뉴델리는 지난달 하순만 하더라도 하루 확진자 수가 4천명에 육박했지만 이날은 1천462명을 기록했다.

반면 푸네의 신규 확진자 수는 2천369명으로 뉴델리나 뭄바이(1천214명)보다 더 많았다.

이에 벵갈루루, 푸네 등 지방 대도시와 일부 주는 한시적으로 봉쇄 조치를 다시 강화한 상태다.
