누적 확진자 30만명 육박…31개주 중 15개주 적색경보

(테헤란=연합뉴스) 강훈상 특파원 = 이란 보건부는 28일(현지시간) 정오 기준 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 사망자가 전날보다 235명 증가해 1만6천147명이 됐다고 집계했다.

이날 하루 사망자는 2월19일 첫 사망자 발생 이후 가장 많다. 이전 하루 최다 사망자수는 229명(7월21일)이었다.

이란의 하루 사망자는 5월 하순 50명대까지 적어졌지만 이후 상승세에 접어들면서 이달 들어 대부분 200명을 넘었다. 최근 한 주 평균 하루 사망자는 216명이다.

사망자수와 직결되는 중증 입원환자수도 지난 한달간 32% 증가해 하루 사망자 수는 한동안 감소하지 않을 가능성이 크다.

28일 기준 확진자는 전날보다 2천667명 늘어나 29만6천273명으로 증가했다.

이란의 하루 확진자는 지난 한 달 반 동안 2천500명 안팎을 유지했다.

하루 확진자수가 급증하지 않는데도 사망자수가 증가하는 것은 의료 체계가 포화됐다는 방증인만큼 이란 보건 당국도 사망자수 추이에 촉각을 곤두세우는 분위기다.

시마 사닷 라리 이란 보건부 대변인은 이날 기자회견에서 "수도 테헤란을 비롯해 이스파한, 알보르즈 등 전국 31개 주 가운데 15곳이 코로나19 확산이 심각한 '적색경보' 지역이고 11개 주가 '황색 주의' 지역이다"라며 방역 수칙을 지켜달라고 당부했다.
