도쿄 코로나 신규 확진 188명…나흘 만에 200명 아래로

(도쿄=연합뉴스) 박세진 특파원 = 일본 수도 도쿄에서 19일 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19)에 188명이 새롭게 걸린 것으로 나타났다.

도쿄도(都)는 이날 확진 판정을 받은 신규 감염자가 188명이라고 밝혔다.

도쿄 지역의 하루 확진자 수가 200명 아래로 내려간 것은 지난 15일(165명)에 이어 4일 만이다.

도쿄를 포함한 일본 전역의 신규 확진자 수(NHK 집계 기준)는 이날 오후 5시 현재 242명으로 파악됐다.

일본에선 코로나19 감염자 현황이 지자체별로 발표돼 이날 최종 확진자 수는 더 늘어날 가능성이 크다.

전날(18일)은 일본의 하루 확진자 수가 660명대를 기록해 긴급사태 발효 때인 올 4월 11일(720명)에 이어 2번째로 많았다.

지금까지 일본의 누적 확진자는 도쿄 9천411명을 포함해 2만5천869명, 사망자는 999명이다.

일본 후생노동성 자료에 따르면 최근 확진자가 급증하는 추세이지만 대부분은 경증 상태이고 18일 현재 중증자는 42명이다.

그간 증상이 호전돼 퇴원한 사람 등은 확진자의 약 80%인 2만24명으로 집계됐다.

일본 정부는 최근 확진자가 급증한 것은 유전자증폭(PCR) 검사가 늘었기 때문이라고 설명하고 있다.

일본의 하루 PCR 검사 건수는 이날 집계치(속보치)가 발표된 지난 15일의 경우 1만6천161건이었다.
